What HigherAble does

HigherAble is a job-search assistant that helps users capture job postings, generate tailored resumes and cover letters, and track which job sources lead to interviews and application progress.

Information we collect

• Account email address used to sign in.
• Base resume content you save in HigherAble.
• Job posting content captured by the Chrome extension when you click it, including job title, company, job description, source URL, ATS platform, and source name when available.
• Generated resume or cover letter content produced by Local Agent or Cloud Agent.
• Application tracking records such as company, role, source, status, notes, and timestamps.
• API key metadata: hashed key and last four characters only. Raw API keys are shown once at creation and are not stored in plain text.

Chrome extension

• The extension reads the active tab only after you click the extension icon.
• It does not run background browsing surveillance.
• It does not read all browser history.
• It does not collect passwords, payment card numbers, health data, or personal communications.
• It stores your HigherAble URL, selected agent mode, and API key locally in Chrome storage so you do not have to re-enter them.

Cloud Agent

When you choose Cloud Agent, HigherAble sends the captured job posting and your saved base resume to HigherAble’s server to generate a tailored resume. The generated document may be stored or linked in your account depending on the current product flow. Cloud Agent requests are used only to provide resume generation and application tracking.

Local Agent

Local Agent generation runs on your computer. HigherAble receives only records you choose to sync, such as application metadata or generated output.

How we use information

• Provide resume and cover letter generation.
• Save application and source analytics.
• Authenticate API requests.
• Enforce usage limits and subscriptions.
• Improve reliability and support.

Data sharing

• HigherAble does not sell user data.
• HigherAble does not use data for lending, creditworthiness, or unrelated advertising.
• Data may be processed by infrastructure and service providers necessary to operate the service, such as hosting, authentication, database, payment, and AI generation providers.

Data retention and deletion

You can request deletion by emailing support@higherable.ai. Application records, saved resume content, and account data can be deleted on request unless retention is required for legal or security reasons.

Security

• HTTPS in transit.
• API keys stored as hashes server-side.
• User-entered API key stored locally in Chrome extension storage.
• Access limited to what is needed to operate the service.
